Minimum Exhaust<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When the sash is lowered to a minimum height (default is 10cm, editable), in order to maintain a minimum air change rate (ACH), a minimum exhaust may be fixed to meet this requirement even the sash is lowered further and the face velocity may be higher than 0.3\/0.5 m\/s.
Troubleshoot: <\/strong>Raise the sash height above the minimum default height to exit this mode.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Critical Mode<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n

When the sash opening height is too high (default for operating height is 50cm), the system will issue a reminder to the operator to reduce the sash height for safety and energy-saving purposes.
Trigger:<\/strong> The sliding sash opening is greater than 50cm.
Troubleshoot:<\/strong> Lower the opening position of the sliding sash.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Emergency Exhaust<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

When a dangerous situation such as a spillage occurred within the fume hood, immediately pressed the “Activate Emergency Exhaust” <\/strong>button to enter into the Emergency Exhaust Mode. This will trigger an Emergency Exhaust Alarm display accompany by an audio alarm. This mode will override the control logic to open the venturi valve to maximum exhaust, effectively exhausts any chemical spillage within the fume hood at its maximum speed, dilutes the fume concentration from building up and prevent any loss of containment within the fume hood.
Press the “Emergency Exhaust” alarm again to exit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Low Pressure Alarm<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The venturi valve characteristic required a minimum duct static usually 150Pa for medium pressure valve in order to function accurately. When the exhaust static pressure across the venturi valve is lower than the requirement, a pressure switch in the venturi valve is activated and a signal is sent to the DDC indicating the exhaust airflow may not be enough or inaccurate. This will affect the overall fume hood face velocity and performance for toxic fume containment.
Trigger: <\/strong>The differential pressure across the venturi valve is lower than 150Pa.
Troubleshoot: <\/strong>Check the duct static, if it falls below requirement, adjusts the exhaust fan frequency to increase the static above the requirement. Check air duct for leakage, faulty differential pressure (DP) switch, any bend, dent or blockage on the DP switch tubing and remedy as necessary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Obstruction Alarm<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In both “Sliding Sash Pre-set Height” and “Standby Mode”, whenever the sash encounters any obstruction during the descending process, the motor will stop immediately and a visual and audio alarm will be issued, prompting the operator to clear the obstruction object.
Trigger:<\/strong> The sensor detects and obstruction when descending.
Troubleshoot:<\/strong> Remove obstruction objects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Actuator Failure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

When the venturi valve is jammed, fail to move, the command and feedback valve position will not correspond indicating a possible faulty actuator. An “Actuator Failure” alarm will be prompted.
Trigger: <\/strong>Abnormal valve command and feedback.
Troubleshoot: <\/strong>Lower the sliding sash to minimum position, contact supplier\/ service provider for after-sales repair.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sash Sensor Failure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

When the sash sensor is faulty like a broken cable, loose wiring or faulty potentiometer, an abnormal sash position feedback is detected by the DDC controller during sash ascending or descending, a “Sash Sensor Failure” alarm will be prompted.
Trigger: <\/strong>Sash Sensor faulty
Troubleshoot: <\/strong>Contact the service provider to check and change the sash sensor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Over-limit Alarm<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n

The fume hood automatic sash system is based on sash opening height setting for upper limit. When the sash height exceeded this limit, thus the calculated output exhaust volume to the venturi valve upper limit, an “Over-limit Alarm” will be prompted.
Trigger: <\/strong>Calculated output exhaust volume > UVA Venturi Valve upper limit airflow.
Troubleshoot: <\/strong>Login to setting interface to verify fume hood parameters are all correct, verify variable air volume venturi valve is working properly and the RS485 communication is normal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
